BRAIN TRUST WORKSHOP

 

When great minds get together, great things happen. That’s the concept behind the full-day Brain Trust Workshop, during which a limited number of jewelry retailers will have the singular opportunity to learn from their peers, as well as four of the industry’s top management consultants: Kate Peterson of Performance Concepts, Sherry Smith of The EDGE Retail Academy, Megan Crabtree of Crabtree Consulting, and Jimmy DeGroot of Jewelry Store Training LLC. During this workshop, presenters will share advice and recommendations in the following areas: recruiting and hiring, retaining top talent, customer service, product/inventory management, lab-grown and mined diamond sales, data-driven store events, growing one’s bridal business, and how to “recession proof” one’s operation, as well as other topics that may arise organically out of conversations with attendees. Our presenters will moderate discussion among attendees at their tables to develop solutions specific to each attendee’s store. Attendees will be placed at tables with other store owners whose businesses share similar attributes (yet disparate markets) so that each can help and be helped by their fellow business owners while developing relationships that last into the future.

CRAM DAY CONFERENCE

 

The INSTORE Show’s pre-show conference will be unlike any other conference ever conducted in the jewelry trade. Why? Because you’ll be hearing almost exclusively from your own peers about best practices that have actually been proven to work in stores. Topics will include the most intriguing current business issues facing independent jewelry retailers, such as digital communications, transition planning and custom design, as well as core practices like strategic planning, security and company culture. Additionally, a separate track will feature content curated by MJSA to provide tips and advice related to your shop. Your registration fee includes lunch.

To confirm eligibility, all registrations will be evaluated by the INSTORE Show Registration Team based on the qualifications below.

    – Copy of your store lease (signature page only) / business license and website
    – Copy of your sales tax certificate
    – Copies of invoices from three suppliers for multiple purchases totaling $10,000 or more of finished jewelry made within the past 12 months

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

The INSTORE Show is for jewelry store professionals including owners, buyers, managers, and retail designers. Admission to The INSTORE Show will be granted only to retail buyers and wholesalers of finished jewelry based on the qualification process listed above. Admission will not be granted to people not employed in the jewelry trade or children under the age of 14 (including infants).  Industry suppliers, manufacturers, loose stone dealers, wholesale designers and service providers are invited to participate as exhibitors of The INSTORE Show. CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you must cancel your INSTORE Show paid conference program registration for any reason, please notify us via email at info@theinstoreshow.com. Cancellations for the Saturday, Aug. 12 Cram Day Conference are non-refundable but may be transferred to an eligible colleague. Cancellations for the Saturday, Aug. 12 Brain Trust Workshop must be received prior to June 12, 2023 to receive a full refund less a $100 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given after June 12, 2023. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
